Lauren tried to explain by I didn’t want to hear it, she basically just she didn’t know If she loved me. Not wanting to hear anything els she wanted to says I grabbed my keys and headed to the food but she pulled me back.”Chris…” Lauren eyes were pleading for me to stay but right now I just couldn’t look at her. I shook my head, got out of her grip and walked out the door and went to somebody I thought I’d never go to for advice…

“Chris she didn’t mean it like that…” Kae said bringing me a Lemonade.

“Maybe shes not ready…” Kae sat next to me and her words made me think.

What if she isn’t ready? What if the relationship with Trey scared her??? But it’s me she know I will never hurt her I love her deeply I can’t see life without her…

“Buts she’s ready to start a family. How can she be ready for that but not to be my wife?” I asked very confused.

Kae looked at me and put her hand on my leg, I looked at her hand and notice a ring on her wedding finger, I was numb.

“Just because she’s ready for a family doesn’t mean she’s ready to be married to you. You told me that she has commitment issues because of her past relationship. That might have something to do with her not saying yes…”

Kae is getting married…and she didn’t tell me. I know I shouldn’t be mad but she should have told me… “Chris? Are you even listening to me?” I hear Kae chuckle and I snapped out of reality. “Yeah I was until I noticed your ring…who’s the lucky guy?” I asked trying to sound jealous. She touched her and started smiling really hard, she was glowing. I guess I can he happy for her…

“Yeah…it’s gonna be hard not being around her for three whole months.” Kae sighed and laid her head on my shoulder.

“You can help me get her off my mind.” She pouted. “Let’s find a arcade out here and hang out like old times…if you have time Mr. Cooperate.” Kae pushed me and I chuckled. “After work I might have time.” I winked she smiled.

“Well girl you did make it seem like you didn’t want to marry him…” I said rubbing Lauren’s back as she cries. She came over crying because Chris left angry because she didn’t respond how he wanted when he asked her to marry him. I truly can’t believe she didn’t say yes, she use to always say if Chris gave the time she’ll marry him. Maybe she was just scared, what if she doesn’t want to marry him anymore? “Do you want to marry him?” I asked and she looked away from me, I gasped.

“Why don’t you?” I asked very confused, Chris has always been there for her.

“I don’t know, maybe I’m scared…I just don’t want to be married for years and find out that he’s cheating on me…” Lauren said wiping her tears away.

I highly doubt that Chris would ever cheat on her, I mean come on their made for each other I just wish they would have gotten together sooner way before she got with Terrence so by this time they would have had a child and working on a another one. “I know you were in love with Terrence and he cheated on you with so may girls but you have to trust yourself that you’re doing the right thing by marrying Chris. He is your future…” Lauren looked at me and smiled “You’re right Girl…” She hugged me tight, “I really don’t know what I was thinking. I have to talk to Chris right now.” Lauren takes out her phone then I hear my bedroom door open.

I hear his footsteps as he starts walking closer to the living room, once he in here Lauren looked at him then at me and hangs up the phone. She mouths “is that the guy from the club?” I nod and she smirks. “Hey beautiful.” Michael said as he sat next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist then kissed my lips.

“I guess that’s my cue to go, we’ll talk later Cassie.” Lauren said before leaving, I turn towards Michael and wrapped my arms around his neck. “Did you enjoy your nap?” I asked smiling.

“Not really, you weren’t next to me.” I blushed, he’s so adorable.
