“Christen.” I heard Lauren say, I looked up at her and she was wearing nothing but my high school basketball jersey. She looked way too sexy. “How come you didn’t play in college?” She asked sitting on my lap. I thought about it and looked at her, then placed my hand on her leg. “Don’t know, but that dream is all over. In two days I got a interview with this advertising firm looking for a new web designer, the basketball dream is way over.” I said laying on the bed, Lauren got on top of me and laid on my chest.

“See I knew it was a good idea to move to DC.” Lauren smiles, I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her lips. I’m so happy we’re together now.

“Yeah, I still miss my boys though…” I said fake pouting, Lauren flashed me the pearly white teeth and beautiful smile. “I miss Riha.” Lauren said very sad, I still haven’t told Lauren that me and Riha had a thing a long time ago, but since we’re an item and that’s her girl I gotta tell her. I sat up and sighed, Lauren straddle me and looked confused.

“Babe what’s wrong?” She asked wrapping her arms around me. “If I tell you this, will you promise not to freak out?” I asked, she smiled. “Whatever it is I can handle.” She winked, naw I don’t think she can. “Freshman year, Riha and I had a thing…”

I thought I could handle it, but I couldn’t. Now I knew why Riha liked Chris so much. He told me that the day after we met he helped her with her car and they end up fucking. After I stood him up he started chilling with her. Then she started being clingy and he ended things. Knowing that Riha still likes him is pissing me off, I can’t believe she never told me.

“Babe please say something…” Chris had his hand on my thigh, he looked really concerned.

“What do you want me to say? Thanks for telling me? Why are you just now telling me?” I asked folding my arms.

I know it’s the past, but Riha is my best friend…

“Because I didn’t know how you would react to me basically ditching your best friend.” Chris said sitting up, I’m straddling him staring him directly in his eyes and he was being genuine but I still couldn’t get over him fucking Riha…

“I just can’t believe you never told me, just imagine if I never got with Chris you would have never told me.” I said sitting on my couch, by now Chris left to get us something to eat to make it up to me.

“What are you talking about Rena?” Riha answered the phone confused.

“You and Chris having a thing.” Once I said Chris’ name I heard a soft gasp.

“How did you know?” Riha asked shocked.

“Chris told me…” I said rolling my eyes, I was just so over about this whole thing, knowing that they fucked is still driving me crazy.

“Oh…” Riha said then the phone went silent.

“So why didn’t you tell me?” I asked getting really upset.

“Because I knew you liked him and I could tell he was feeling you so I just left it alone.” She said.

“But you still have feelings for him right?” She can’t lie, I’m her best friend.

“Well yeah but he didn’t want me so I’m over him.”

“You mean that?”

“Yeah of course.”

Riha…..

I feel bad for lying to her but I can’t tell my best friend That I’m deeply in love with her new boyfriend. I have to get him back by any means, if that means loosing a friend then so be it….
